Collaborate on a design
Invite your team to Envelope so they can access shared designs, run teams, and work alongside you in the same workspace.
How org membership works
Envelope uses organisations to manage access. When you sign up, you're placed in a personal org. Designs set to Team visibility are visible to everyone in your org — so the first step is inviting the right people.
Inviting someone
- Open the workspace
- Click your org name in the top-left of the sidebar
- Enter the colleague's email address and click Invite
They'll receive an email with a link to join your org. Once accepted, they can see all designs set to Team visibility.

Sharing a design before someone joins
If you need to share with someone who isn't in your org yet:
- Set the design visibility to Public
- Share the direct link
- Invite them to your org separately so they can edit, not just read

Open Workspace Settings → Organisation to see current members, pending invitations, and remove access when needed.
Frequently asked questions
Can someone review a design without creating an Envelope account? Yes — designs set to Public visibility have a shareable read-only link that anyone can open without signing in. Use this for stakeholder reviews and engineering handoffs. For editing access, an Envelope account is required.
What's the difference between sharing a link and inviting someone to the org? A shared link gives read-only access to a single design. Inviting someone to the org gives them access to all Team-visibility designs across the workspace — the right choice for ongoing collaborators working on AI agent designs together.
Can I control what collaborators can edit? Currently org members can view and edit all Team-visibility designs. Use Private visibility to keep a design restricted to yourself while it's in progress, then switch to Team once it's ready for collaboration.
