Command Centre

Your workspace's intelligence layer — ask anything about your agents, tools, activity, and data in plain language.

What is Command Centre?

Command Centre is the always-on assistant built into your workspace. Unlike the team builder (which designs new AI workflows), Command Centre queries what's already running — your active teams, recent runs, pending approvals, connected tools, and live business data.

Think of it as a direct line to your workspace: ask a question, get a grounded answer, take action from there.

Opening Command Centre

Click Command Centre in your workspace sidebar. It opens as a panel on the right-hand side without leaving your current view.

What it knows

Command Centre has live access to your workspace:

  • Teams and rooms — which teams are active, when they last ran, and what they produced
  • Pending gates — any approvals waiting for a human decision
  • Run history — recent completions, failures, and trends
  • Connected tools — services your org has credentials for (Slack, GitHub, Notion, and more)
  • Agent activity — what each agent did, which model it used, what it called

Example questions

Here are some questions that work well:

  • "Show me any pending gates from this week"
  • "Which team ran most recently?"
  • "Are there any failures in the last 24 hours?"
  • "What tools does my workspace have connected?"
  • "Pull the latest activity from GitHub"
  • "Which agent is using the most tokens?"
  • "Summarise what happened today across all teams"

Querying connected tools

If your workspace has credentials for external services, Command Centre can query them directly. Ask it to pull data, summarise recent activity, or cross-reference information across services — without switching tabs or writing a query.

This is available for any service your org has added to the Tools panel. If a service isn't connected yet, Command Centre will tell you what's missing and where to add it.

Action chips

After each response, Command Centre suggests 2–3 follow-up actions as clickable chips — things like "Break down by team →", "Show failures only →", or "Automate this →". Click one to send it as your next message, or type freely.

Building automation from here

If Command Centre gives you an answer worth automating — a daily summary, a regular check, a recurring report — use the Automate this → chip or describe the workflow in your workspace room. Envelope will build the team from there.
